Trimming Goat Hooves and other Basic Animal Husbandry

One of my very best friends Kate, the Modern Day Settler, came to visit Nashville from Boston and I asked her to help me make a video about trimming goat hooves and basic care for goats. Knowing how to care for your animals is incredibly important, especially in emergency situations, and it’s not nearly as intimidating as it may seem! In this video we cover trimming hooves, subcutaneous shots, and simple ultrasounds as well as our favorite goat care products.

To do this, we use a goat milking stand, or stanchion, we can clip or farrier our goats using an inexpensive tool kit. This is perfect for goats and other small livestock.
