My first order of business with this and every product review is a disclaimer: I am not a professional contractor. I am a farmer and a fine furniture maker. When it comes to construction and renovation projects, I’m a DIYer and weekend warrior. That said, I doubt many professional contractors will be reading my tool reviews. My goal in reviewing tools and products is to provide honest feedback based on my own use and experience with these tools to other regular folks like me- wanting to get their hands dirty, try new things, and get the best value for their hard earned dollars.

This heavy duty welded base cabinet would be a great addition to any shop. If I’ve come to learn anything this past year finally having dedicated shop space again, it’s that you can never have enough storage. In an active effort to rid myself of wasted space and make my shop more efficient, I’ve added tons of cabinet and wall storage to the shop, and this one has earned a permanent (albeit portable) spot. Cabinet capacity is 1200 pounds, with each drawer having a 120 lb capacity inside and a 500 lb capacity on the solid butcher block wood top. Though I don’t have a big need to lock any of my cabinets, it is nice to know I have the option should I need it with this cabinet. The heavy duty casters are solid and having a portable workspace as solid as this one is yet another huge bonus in my shop.

At $377, this isn’t a small investment, but this is a sturdy cabinet which provides tons of storage space, the capacity to hold an insane amount of weight, convenient soft-close drawers, heavy duty locking casters, a solid wood worksurface on top, and is built to last.
